Meera, who is currently in New York, made the appeal in a video message directed at UK officials and authorities in Pakistan. She said her sister is receiving treatment in London and that her condition has been deteriorating.
“I want to meet my sister,” Meera said in the video, asking officials to consider her request on humanitarian grounds and issue her a visa.
Meera also indicated that members of her family, including her mother and younger brother, are currently in London with Shaista. The actress said she wants to be with her sister during what she described as a critical period.
